Of Blockers and Friction

America/New York

Effective Agile promises hyper-productive teams with off-the-charts velocity which we’ve learned is difficult to achieve. To reach this peak team velocity, oftentimes we focus on the (excellent practice of) identification and removal of blockers. But there’s something else brewing that can be even more corrosive to team productivity than blockers–-friction.

Teaching Agile

08/29/2013 5:30 pm
America/New York

Agile is tough to learn – seemingly simple and intuitive yet devilishly difficult to practice. The presentation "Teaching Agile" explores a number of concepts from the body of knowledge on adult learning as applied directly to teaching agile concepts. Different ways to encourage adult learning will be described and interactively explored. You will have a chance to try your hand too, after all when learners talk and teach, they learn.

Virtual Conference: Individuals And Interactions

An unusual mini-conference / training is taking place in May -- completely virtually. It's for you if:

- You find yourself falling further behind on your critical projects

- Team members don't speak up in planning sessions or retrospectives

- You'd like to see your team step up and take ownership, but you are having trouble letting go

- You're looking for more ways to increase performance/velocity/productivity, but you're stumped

- The results from Scrum/XP/Agile/Lean/Kanban practices leave a lot to be desired
